when i uploaded my first mod ever in creation club and go to data and make it an active mod instead of just a plugin i get a weird message after its finished loading saying "warning message" telling me im missing 471 files, all of which looks like the entirety of fallout 4s files, from the master files to the reload animations of the alien blaster by the looks of it, what do i do to fix it? im trying to port the Hudson H9 Pistol mod i got permission to port in exchange for their credit being given, please help its my first time modding on pc and im out of my depth, youtube tutorials sucked cuz its all old formats on how to do things, i uploaded the ported mod and checked it on my xbox one but the textures are missing so it looks like im holding an invisible gun, the gun parts and ammo counter work still but no visuals of the gun itself exist, please help so i can give an awesome mod to more of the community

When you installed while putting the mod into your game it may have moved the Data's folder, Meshes folders, textures folders in wrong.

Check and see if you have more then one folder with the same name in the Data folder, if the mods Textures folder got moved into the main folder that says in Textures the one your installer put into Textures is the problem. It's contents didn't get installed properly.

I have often found a folder named Data in the Data folder for the game that has all the mods stuff, meshes, sounds, textures, and bsa files in it for the mod. I had to drag that Data folder out of the real Data folder.

I found out an easy way to mend the problem was to drag the folder's that were supposed to emptied into the game's other folders out and over the Data folder if, say, the meshes folder had another meshes folder inside the real meshes folder.

For example; if you find a folder in Data that is also a folder named Data; Drag it out of the Data folder & Drop it on top of the games main Fallout 4 folder.. It will be recognized and the contents will be properly sorted out to the folders they were supposed to. Data content in the Data folder.

Another example; If you find a Texture folder inside the Texture folder, drag it out and up over the Data folder and drop it on top the Data folder and all the extra Texture folders contents will get put in the Textures folder like they were meant to be.
