Brawl Bugs Patch Not Working

I have been having the problem where brawls activate a normal combat instead of the brawl combat, resulting in the death of my opponent, my follower getting involved, and, if I wait after the first punch, my opponent drawing his/her weapon.

 

I quickly found the Brawl Bugs Patch and downloaded it, but the problem is still there. I have tried disabling mods like UFO and SkyrimRe_Combat that I thought might be causing the problem, but it still persists. So I have come to you for help.

UGH this is irritating, I don't have a decomposition mod, and I have brawl bugs installed, and I still get weapons drawn on me whenever I brawl people. They punch 3 times, draw their weapons and attack with that. Also if I do fight them with their weapons out like that, in the end they STILL just end up dying. Why do I always get the damn bugs no one else does? D:
