AddictedSkyrimer
I was playing Skyrim during a mild storm yesterday when the power went out for less than five minutes. I restarted my computer and checked to make sure that my Skyrim files were okay. The game started fine and none of my saves were affected, but the shadow flickering bug that I thought I had fixed came back. I have tried everything to get rid of it:I had Steam check the integrity of my game cache. I changed my load order several times with no success.I updated, uninstalled, and reinstalled all of my mods. No luck. I disabled all of my lighting mods, still no luck. I tried several different values for fShadowBiasScale in my skyrim.ini file with no affect (this is what fixed the problem originally). I added fSunShadowUpdateTime= and fSunUpdateThreshold= to my SkyrimPrefs, tried several values for both, and that didn't do anything. My game is currently set to Medium Quality, because that's what worked best before. I have SKSE installed and run several performance boosters when playing. I honestly don't know what else to do, or even what the problem is with my shadows. The power outage didn't change any of my files but it somehow changed my shadow settings. This is a game breaker for me, because the flickering makes me sick after a minute of gameplay. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. EDIT: FIXED I changed my SkyrimPrefs.ini file based on advice from other threads. Adding bShadowsOnGrass=0bDeferredShadows=0 to the bottom of my Display seemed to fix the issue. :D Edited June 11, 2013 by AddictedSkyrimer
