[Request] Some kind of "skip" function for cutscenes

I'm talking about being able to skip the fully animated cutscenes that you just put your controller or mouse down and watch (or grab a sandwich).

 

I'd happily get it going myself, but I know no coding and have no idea where I'd even start looking to find a solution. If someone is knowledgeable about the process involved in such a thing and wants to point me toward how to do it, I'm game for that too. But I imagine that someone that would know how to approach it would find it easier to do it than direct me.
