ultramarinefox Posted July 28, 2013 Share Posted July 28, 2013 I agree with you too, iamjohnlocked, there should be a quest at the end of the Civil War to hold the moot where the nine Jarls and the Dragonborn votes for the new High King or Queen and you get the chance to get nominated for the position too. The outocme would depend on which side you fought for of course and what Jarls you put in post. I take it that the mod doesn't yet exist because I have seen nothing mentioned either here or on YouTube's Skyrim commentators. Long story short, I am with you on this! I felt it just left us with a cliffhanger that left me dying to know what would happen. But with the Dragonborn being high king/queen, i'm not sure. The Dragonborn has sorted out so much of Skyrim's problems, and with the dragon blood they have the right to rule. but on the other hand, the dragonborn wouldn't have the time to be both an adventurer and ruler. they'd have to choose either. bit I do think there should be a mod choosing the high king/queen. I wouldn't agree that the player be able to be king/queen tho. Only jarls can be named high king/queen. Unless of course the player is somehow jarl of one of the cities, and not some made up city that is added through a mod. Attending the moot would be nice though as well. kingreza2 Posted August 26, 2013 Share Posted August 26, 2013 the idea is good but the one thing you are not seeing is that this small meeting requires a big big project since all the jarls has to be voiced and use idles such clapping or being upset and all. and since the speakers of the characters won't be there to say the dialogues it will be a mess...imagine one modder talks for 10 different people!the voices would be terrible! beside why would they make you of all people the highking of skyrim? because you killed a few dragons or because you fought under ulfric banners? it's wiser to suggest that they gave you a city and make you a jarl!for example if you are under ulfric's command,they can give you solitude instead of forgiving elisif and let her be the jarl,or if you are fighting as an imperial,they give you windhelm,or riften... beside,belive me there is nothing more boring than trying to act like a jarl or king! once i used all the mods and cheat codes possible and tried to be a jarl of riften,everything was perfet,i had respect,i had autourity,i had a big army of 20 wariors and even if i killed a guard in the middle of the city no one cared... i even made my own choosing thanes use dialouges that the previous ones used when talking to jarls,i even decorated my own castle,but after that,nothing! there was nothing i could do! i just had to sit on my fancy throne all day long watching my men walk around the tables... i even tried to attack and conqure other cities,so i wore my men the armor of riften guards,and i marched toward whiterun because it was always my favorite city but it also was a mess!there were bodies everywere,people fought back and i had to kill many of my favorite npcs since they didn't stop attacking my men,when all the guards were dead i just realized i only killed two people,so i used console command and created 50 more guard to fight with,and when i was done killing them,the screen was full of boides and my game crushed because my pc couldn't handle such a heavy thing! and after a while i went crazy and started the game from the begining...
