DynDOLOD depends on music mod? How is this even possible?

So I just reran TexGen and DynDOLOD and now Vortex is telling me that DynDOLOD depends on my combat music mod of choice: Ragnarok - Viking Battle Music

Here's the message. (missing master)

I have the 'Ragnarok - Replacer.esp' enabled atm...

I've been modding for years but I am completely without thoughts on this one. Can someone shed some light on this?

Why is the "O" in Ragnarok replaced with a "?"

Perhaps that's the problem? SOmehow the name of the esp got glitched

Hmmm. a comment on the mod page

The music is great. The replacer though has a non-english character in the ESP that can break save game tools. I would suggest changing the accented o to an english o in Ragnarok. I love the music and appreciate the mod!

Unless the o has been changed

Could very well be the problem. I still do not get how DynDOLOD became dependend on a music mod... What's the logic? Can I edit DynDOLOD in a way that it will not become dependend on this mod?

How do I proceed? Just renaming the .esp is not gonna work I think.

current .esp name: 'Ragnarök - Replacer.esp'

Copy the ESP, and try changing the o to a regular o and see what happens would be the first thing I would try.

Interesting though that nobody has said anything about that.

I changed the .esp to 'Ragnarok - Replacer.esp', vortex still tells me that DynDOLOD misses it's master, the music mod. I do not even know what the consequences of this would be...

- My LODs seem te be working fine

- The combat music plays as expected (I think)

Does anyone know why DynDOLOD would be depended on a music mod? If we can figure that out we can maybe adres it

Open up your load order in SSEEdit and select DynDOLOD.esp and check it's masters

Or load your load order in Wrye Bash to see what masters DynDOLOD has

Either one works, but WryeBash might be easier, because all you have to do is click on DynDOLOD.esp and it will list the masters in the right hand pane

Did you read the DynDOLOD FAQ sticky?

Q: DynDOLOD.exe: FormID [xxx] references a master which is not available in file [xx] xxx.esp

A: There is a plugin in the load order with errors. Check the load order for errors with xEdit.exe before generating LOD. Fix all errors. See this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zr7pz4JGSEM for help.

A: Often caused by a broken Bashed Patch. Use a newer Wrye Bash version to create the patch or do not use the merge patches option.

Is DynDOLOD one of those Mods where you run an EXE and it generates an ESP depending on the ESPs you have enabled?

Yes, it generates both ESM and ESP for use.

It should only be picking up on mods and content that alters landscapes/LOD for it's requirements though, ignoring anything else, so unless the music mod makes a change on that front it shouldn't be listing it from what I can tell.

Should be able to remove it as a requirement like any other file though using the appropriate tools. Would just need to keep it in mind should you need to rebuild your DynDOLOD files at some future point.

Records linking to records from other plugins require that plugin as a master. In this case worldspace or cell records define music defined by the music plugin.

I suggest to read the included manual and use the official support forum for qualified answers.

1- How would I go about removing it as a requirement? Can you point me in the right direction?

2- What if I rename the .esp to not include non-English characters and then rerun DynDOLOD? Then DynDOLOD would still be dependend on this mod but it wouldn't fail to regonize it maybe?

EDIT: Ever since this issue my game crashes in exterior cells. I disabled both the DynDOLOD resources and Output which stopped me from crashing. So ignore my previous post about everything working fine... gotta get this sorted somehow
