SLSF1_Skinned makes helmet disappear

So, I've decided to try my hands at modding again. I've followed http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Creating_an_armour_for_Skyrim._Part_1 as close as I could. When I use my mesh, which is a helmet (circlet type), in-game it floats behind my character, as if its not weighted properly, but appears fine. Now when I check the SLSF1_Skinned flag, the mesh does not appear, or is invisible on the creation kit's render window and in skyrim. I'm fairly certain I've properly exported my mesh from blender correctly and I've adjusted plenty of settings in Nifskope, but it seems that only when SLSF1_Skinned is unchecked, my mesh appears and does not work properly, and when SLSF1_Skinned is checked, the mesh does not show up, so I'm completely out of ideas.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Did you actually skin your mesh? If you mesh dosen't have an weight painting on it, then it will be invisible when you attach Skinned shader flags to it.

Ok I went back to my Blender file and made sure it was weighted (Which it was) so i maxed the weights on all parts (BP_TORSO, NPC Head [Head], NPC Spine2 [spn2]) hoping to get any response out of it, and it has the same problem. I'm new at this, so I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "Did you actually skin your mesh"

OK update, I've been fiddling with NifSkope some more, and I've manged to get it to show up in the creation kit (with SLSF1_Skinned selected, I exported my mesh and this time it came with the dismemberment skin instance). Now the bad part: it does not show up on my character when I equip the helmet. The weird thing is, when I go over it in my inventory it doesn't show up, unless I use the examine function. Also I can see it when I drop it, but it floats in the air like an invisible static item. (unable to pick it up or interact with it in any way) Any suggestions?

ok update! I did it! its properly shows up on my character, I did this by setting the dismembermentBodyPartType to SBP_142_Circlet (because its a circlet)(this is under BSDismemberSkinInstance in the partitions > partitions) However there are a few things still wrong: the world Item still floats in the air like a static, and the inventory is still wonky (but I can just set another object to the world item) One last thing, I want my circlet to have high gloss, so I set the level of glossiness to 100, but my circlet does not appear glossy
