Ok first of all i am not a modder, So apart from organisation skills I will be limited. (don’t all people with ideas say that )

 

I am hoping to find some modder’s to get a pregnancy mod started. i am going to keep it simple , If we get a working mod online that others can plug into I believe new textures will be make from the community.

 

In my mind a lot of the work has already been done by modder’s out there, we just need to get permission to use it and join it all together.

 

I have enjoyed the excellent pregnancy mod they have for New Vegas so will use that for ideas for this mod.

 

The basic sex mod is already out there and doing well , In my mind the main issue is to script some sort of buff on females called fertility, and another called sperm. We would need to script that the 2 buffs check against each other every hour or so. (less often if that affects performance).

 

New Vegas does it will egg(s), and sperm in the inventory that can’t be removed if that would be easier. It checks those against each other.

 

now in my mind once a lady is pregnant she isn’t going to wear armour, I do’nt see daedric plate having much baby bump growth room. (It also makes this mod a lot easier to get off the ground)

 

So once the lady starts to grow I think armour should be restricted to robes only.

 

So we need to get models of a naked pregnant lady in 4? stages. (Could this be done easily with bodyslide?), and a set of robes in various stages of pregnancy, I am hoping robes will be easier to do than any other sets.

 

I am sure people will want other sets of clothing, Ifwe can get the basic mod online others may fill that need.

 

The only other thing we need is graphics for an inventory item to show a baby. A single basic image or maybe 4 if possible to show male & female showing either elf or human ears.

 

 

And that is it really, I know people want a much bigger more exciting mod but if we can get a basic working framework that’s popular others will add to it.

 

so in my mind we need.

 

 

a scripter who knows skyrim so can determine the best method to do the background math to detemrine pregnancy and stages.

 

an artist for the naked bodies.

 

an artist for the robes.

 

an artist for the inventory items.

On a side note the main requirement is of course the scripter so the whole project requires us finding a good one, I think that person will be making the main decidiosn, the rest fo us will just work around to fit all the pieces together.

 

Also the excellent Arwen mod is not lore friendly so she should only marry me and start a family, no on else :).

I had an idea like this too. It started with the idea of having various pregnant npcs around skyrim. Namely npcs like seren who talks about her future daughter (which by the way makes no sense btw since they dont have ultrasound). As a concept I even used the bodyslide to make a pregnant looking body with various vanilla clothing.

 

But then I had an idea similar to yours but would only involve spouses; sort of a more intimate alternative to adoption.

 

I would be interested in designing some of the bodies as Im pretty good with nifskope and Iv recently begun playing with bodyslide. I just need to make sure I have permission from caliente before I post any bodies (although given the proliferation of calientes body, I doubt its a problem).

I had an idea on this. The idea I had doesn't require a sex mod. The gameplay seems to use a basic concept of "if this, then that". Couldn't a mod be based on the same concept to create a generic first edition. As an example, If male pc sleeps in same bed with female non-pc, then .25 chance the female becomes pregnant. If female non-pc is over a certain age (like 40) then her chance of pregnancy goes down by .02 per year until it settles at .05 chance after a certain age (like 50). With some of the mods out there that effect aging, I'm sure this basic concept could be implemented. Additionally, since Skyrim is a harsh environment, there should be a chance for loss. With each success the females body changes. As an example: If pregnant, after 4 cycles (30 days) and success against loss, the females skeletal structure and body changes by "x" amount. Setting a standard of .10 chance for loss every thirty days for nine cycles due to normal conditions, which increases for trauma events (ie dragon attacks, weapon attacks, poisoning, etc) based on there severity. If the female makes it all the way through the nine months then she goes to a temple of dibella for delivery.

How this effects the PC. For women pc, they are barren and unable to bare children. I know, but I see no other way around this. So female pc would adopt, or maybe a mod which allows for a seregate mother to carry. For the men they would see the changes. When a child is born, the female non-pc mother is then seen with an addition to their inventory (simply called child) and looking like a knapsack bundle strapped across her chest. It would be present for 4 cycles. After which an option to have a nanny would appear to which they move in and help care for the child.

Anyway, I'm sure you get the idea. I am not a modder (I simply don't know computers that well). Hopefully this lends to some generic simplified version of the pregnancy concepts being worked/discussed.

Very late response, rather this thread is still going or not. But i support this idea, i was just looking for a mod like this to have Seren show her baby bump earlier today. And to answer Alex, yes, for alot of people the name drives them off, and for others the idea of animated positions in order for this to happen bothers them, or possibly to their extent breaks their immersion. I for one really wouldn't care to watch something like that to have an NPC or Player character start carrying a child. Though the concept i highly support! And i have high respects to the modder who made Hentai Pregnancy, it takes work to do something like that, or this..

 

I personally had the idea of MCM plug in for player, and NPC's that by the game, were already, or had the possibility to become pregnant. I really like alot of the ideas here, and though i don't know if i could help much, im giving this thread a bump. Even if it is a tad old by forum standards.
