Skipjack647 Posted July 5, 2013 Share Posted July 5, 2013 Hello.I was playing New Vegas one night just like normal,I was playing the quest where you have to save Heck Gundersons kid and the game crashed a few times right before i startedactually doing this quest.One time was just a normal crash,the i went into the Ultra Luxe and the uy takes you guns,and i wondered if i toggled the White Glove that takes your guns AI so that he wouldnt,so i turned his AI off,I went out of the Casino,got my guns,went back in,I keep my guns,and as soon as i passed the Greeter(he takes your guns),like as soon as my character started to pass by the Greeters back it froze,i thought since i disable the AI it would freeze,but i loaded a previous save and i walked right by with no problem.I then started to do the quest,i was using the NCR Squad Support mod so i had three veteran Rangers with me and i layed though the quest enough that i was past the Chauncy guy or whoever,i dealt with Philippe and he was in the room by himself(before he did this he sort of freaked out and said for me to cook for the banquet.) and i was going to figure out what to do next and the game froze,and i just thought it was a normal thing,because my computer is average except for the video card,and i just closed it,and startied to lauch the game again,but this time it started to show the full screen,except immediately after,it turned grey and it said new vegas wasnt working,which was wierd because i ahdnt installed any mods or anything before any of this and after looking through the load order,completely deactivating and reactivating ALL of my mods,reorganizing the mods correctly,it STILL DOESNT WORK!!!!!!!!!!! I dont know whats happening, i dont know if it is the quest, a mod i have,i have no idea,and this is probably some thing i cant help and i will most likely have to reinstall my game,I have already prepared for that by copying all my saves to a folder so i dont lose everyhting.but anyway,if any help is even possible,please and thank you. I'm not sure whether i read it or not, but did you try running that quest without any mods and still had those crashes?And, before you reinstall your game, did you try to verify your game through steam? No i dont talk like this all the time.I ususally try to be mostly correct on grammar and such but i made this thread at 4 in the morning and i was tired of trying to fix this.I was oddly explaining the situation like that because i wanted to voice word for word what was happening,because i dont know if this has happened before.Sorry fot that.
