Planting a lawn?

I know there are mods to make the whole commonwealth more green, but that's not what I'm after.

 

Is there any way to plant a lawn? Say there's an area of road in your settlement. I'd like to to tip a bunch of earth on there and plant a lawn.

Sort of. There are "grass" floor pieces in a few mods. I use the ones from the Institute section of SOE a lot. And I think Ground has a version as well, though those are all square.

 

I've found if you use the console to raise the exterior of the Vault 111 elevator by around 20 that you can use the SOE pieces to surround it with a nice, green lawn. I frequently build a park around the vault entrance that way.

 

Funny you should mention it, I'm doing a playthrough right now with a Spring Season mod, and it's like a brand new game. None of this "oh, I take a left at the burnt out truck", because you can't see the truck through the trees. I mean it may be a touch too green in spots, but it defintely makes the game feel fresher.
