Sleeping Animation

Hi!

Don't you all hate to see your charachter staying in front of any bed, just there, standing, while the rest of the NPCs of the game can do their sleeping animation alright?

Well, I do. Especially when you can sit on couches, stools, chairs and so on, but not lay down on beds. I hate it since Oblivion, and Bethesda keeps doing their games without adding such simple idle to the game and then prompting the sleep menu. And, of course, Oblivion, Skyrim, F03 and FONV all have, or have had, a mod that implements that animation to the game. So simple, but so nice: you go to your bed, interact, do the animation, sleep menu prompts, black screen, morning, see your charachter there still sleeping, press any key, and he/she stantds! Like any NPC!!

A little detail that makes the game more immersive. I think there was already an author that released such mod for Fallout 4, "See You Sleep" was it, but for some reaon the mod is no longer available... I recently installed my FO4 for give it another go and try new mods and turns out that this one was no longer there... I tried to contact the mod author, but no luck so far.

I hate to see my charachter standing like a moron in front of beds. Is there a posibility that a kind soul would make, or rather, bring back such simple mod?

Reuploading the mod is prohibited. But creating such mod is not that difficult if you're familiar with Papyrus. Basically, you have to create a script that moves the player to the bed... okay it's a bit more complicated but still. See FollowersScript: RegisterForPlayerSleep(), onPlayerSleepStart, HandleOnSleepEnd.

It's easy to create such a mod and mixamo has many great sleep animations. There is a good animation of restless sleep, the actor is funny tossing and turning from side to side. There are many awakening animations for exiting. So that the actor does not jump up, but slowly gets out of bed and comes to his senses. In the first link of the mixamo animation, in the second article on how to make such furniture.

That's nice, guys! I am not very familiar with modding, alas the request that I've posted.

I will see what I can do

If you can get it done that would be great, Zorkaz! I guess that you'll have to replace all beds ingame with the script? Again, I am not familiar with how to do it, but if you can handle it I'm sure many people like myself, lovers of immersion, would appreciate it!

Nexus is working on a project called Mod Packs, or something similar. They aren't letting mod authors opt out except by making the mod hidden. Many authors are removing the access because of that. There is nothing stopping you from manually downloading a mod thats available now and keeping a copy for future use. Some of these mods have been moved to different platforms for use with a different mod manager. Some might be available on Bugthesda's mod pages. I'm sure this is covered on a forum.
