I really really loved the Dwemer, I thought they were fascinating, And I thought the archeology of going through the ruins, Fighting their old machines, Discovering treasures, Reading their old books, Finding logs of old adventures was amazing. I really loved exploring and learning more about them, It was like Tomb Raider or Indiana Jones, But, The vanilia game seems to have extremely limited instances where you can really do this at all.

What I want, Is a mod which adds massive amounts of dungeons and so on you can run through and do this kind of thing again, With books full of dwemer lore. With old adventures log books, Even possibly finding those adventures, Dead or alive, Crazed or sane like in one of the Vanilia quests.

I really want to discover, Not read on the internet, But discover what happened to them, In a way which makes sense. And, If it fits, Possibly find a living dwemer, Or bring their civilisation back and their species, Or something. Anyway, Thank you for reading.

I'll link you to a couple of my favorite dwemer quest mods. I am huge dwemer fanatic myself!

The best one has been removed from Nexus, at least to my knowledge. It's called Aethernautics, and allows you to tackle a huge dungeon, get dwemer 'guns', fight some crazy enemies, and finally salvage, rebuild, and command a dwemer SPACESHIP!

Dwemerverse Dwemer Magic Package is a good spell mod, though i haven't used it much yet.

The Lost Wonders of Tower Mzark is also another great quest mod, and may be close to what you are wanting.

Also, it has not been revealed what happened to the dwemer, a mod that adds this in would be 'uncannon' and thus kind of pointless... Less of "this is what happened to the dwemer" but "this is what one guy thinks might have happened to them"I agree it would be awesome if Bethesda finally did this, and it is even rumored it is hidden within the vanilla game itself, but do to the intense amount of modding done the idea that it could remain hidden all this time is all but hopeless.

Also, if you REALLY wanna meet a dwarf, play morrowind! The last remaining dwemer can be found in the dark depths of morrowind! And as old as he is in that game, it is quite believable he could still be alive some 300~500 years later. (not quite sure how long ago morrowind took place)

Skyrim had a lot of dwemer stuff, and I believe both major DLCs added a lot of dwemer stuff.

I think they are saving the "big reveal" for another game though, I kinda get the feeling TES 6 will be more heavily dwemer themed and will take place in the shivering isles. Just my personal opinion though! Some people say it will be in hammerfell, but that sounds boring to me! =[

I am currently working on a project to expand the length of vanilla dungeons with additional cells, together with viltuska, the author of Skyrim Sewers (hopefully will also manage to recruit more talented modders down the line). Dwemer ruins have been getting a lot of attention from me, with some new tiles for more flexibility and variety in architecture.

Alftand is being significantly extended to actually make it somewhat feel like an epic journey down to blackreach instead of an afternoon stroll. Here are some screens I took last month

Large Cavern

Frozen Hallway

Leaking Pipe

Junction

Alternate Path

Docile Centurion

And here are some mockups rooms with the new tiles for testing purposes
