Insufficent Framerate Continue in Offline Mode

I just recently bought dark souls. Every time I get close to a bonfire I get an error that says my framerate is insufficent for online play. I am using DSFix and I don't know what to do!

Did you set the right resolution in the DSFix configuration settings file? When I first started using it I didn't realize it had to be changed and it dragged my fps down, the resolution setting will be in the first couple of lines in the note pad
