PeachShag
Ever since I got Skyrim, I never had a problem with anything other than the occasional CTD around level 20. Fixed that up by allocating more RAM. Then I got into using mods, and could easily have up to 30 running, maybe a CTD every once in a while. It wasn't until I started using SKSE (for the use of SkyUI) that I started getting a CTD every ten minutes. I updated it all, tried no mods, patches, etc etc. Now after multiple re-installations, I've concluded that SKSE completely burned the way my PC renders Skyrim. I can't play regardless of SKSE being on my PC or not. I can't give up hope yet, any help out there?
myztikrice
30 mods is nothing at all and actually a very small number of mods, and it is physically impossible in the laws of this universe for SKSE to 'burn' your computer.
PeachShag
Figure of speech, what I mean is SKSE rendering opt out on my computer, now my PC can't render Skyrim at all.
PeachShag
The thing about 30 mods, aside from them mostly being overhauls and added land masses, is that the problem couldn't have been caused by overloading mods.
prod80
can neither be caused by SKSE, since it's just a script extender which will only be used if you have mods that actually use its scripts. Has zero to do with rendering the game. Perhaps you don't start the game using the SKSE_Launcher placed in your skyrim folder and that might cause problems with mods that use SKSE. KnorKater
At first, have a look if prod80 was right with his presumption about you actually not running SKSE at all. If that doesn't work for you, I'd like to see what hardware you're using, if you got the latest drivers, and if the new installation was really clean. (deleting all leftovers after uninstalling (Installation folder and myDocuments) Would be good to know how the "won't run at all" actually appears. Is the game not attempting to load at all? Is it crashing after start? If yes, at which point? Are there error-messages?
