Combining animations

Afaik (with limited knowledge), you'll need the source material for that. The animations are usually stuck inside compiled physics data (Havok). Unless you are a code hacker, you can't get to those and change them in any way. Others might use ol' fashioned gamebryo animations, but even to combine those you would need to re-create them, as you can't simply copy or 'join' them. (but at least you would have all the data)

Basically remaking the animations completely is your only option, unless you have the source files/animations and you can combine them using 3ds. (and exporting the new animation to fo4)

My only wish is to add a couple of gun animations made by other modders into one file (to reduce amount of plugins and mods dependable on other mods)

So you just like to merge some mods? Thankfully, that doesn't require editing the animations.

Extract the archives (so the .ba2 files that came with the mods) into "C:\Games\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data". Use Archive2 or BAE.

To merge mods, you'll need FO4Edit (editor) and MergePlugins v1.9 (FO4Edit script). Open FO4Edit >> Load the mods you like merge >> Select them >> Right click >> Click "Apply Script" >> Choose MergePlugins v1.9 from the dropdown menu. The mod assets you extracted earlier will be moved into the "Assets" folder of MergePlugins (see Settings).
