[Questions] New Playthrough Setup

Hello all

 

Recently I bought a new PC and I decided to return to Skyrim. I'm planning of doing a fully modded playthrough this time.

 

My specs:

 

-Win7 64-bit

-GeForce GTX 770 4GB

-Intel Core i5 4670 3.40 GHz (4 cores)

-16 GB RAM

-250 GB SSD (Skyrim installed)

All esps are cleaned, checked for errors and updated to version 1.7. I also used most of STEP to install Skyrim and making it ready for modding. The esps beginning with ZMY are my own made edits and/or compatibility patches.

I have not yet done any optimizing of my texture mods. On my old PC I used the setting "reduce textures > 512" in Ordenador. But I have no idea which one I should use now. Any clues on what to use?

 

Any general advice about my load order/tips to improve my stability (regarding compibilities between mods, etc) are greatly appreciated. I want to start my new game with these mods as stable as possible!

Given your new specs, you shouldn't need to use Texture Optimizer to reduce any mod textures. You'll still want to keep tabs on how texture mods you are using though, and try to avoid the 4K texture mods.
