Lakeview Manor - As It Should Be (Bugs/Glitches)

So I love "Lakeview Manor- as it should be" but the author has locked all comments and bug reports. I want to start this thread here to maybe help some people and get some help if I can!

I have had bugs so far and I just found a fix for one of them. I haven't done any testing to see if it would work for different cases but maybe it will work for you.

The bugs/glitches I've found:

1: Dropping mod added armor or weapons in the cellar then picking them up. After saving/loading OR traveling to a different cell and back, a copy of the equipment will be respawned in the position you originally placed it while the original will be in your inventory or a container that you moved it to. (also happened when a mod added weapon was placed on a weapon plaque and removed, upon reloading the cellar a copy of the weapon was sitting on the display case under the plaque.)

FIXED: upon reloading the cell and seeing a copy of any item that you have previously dropped/picked up OR mounted/unmounted. follow these steps:

1: place the item in your crosshair so you can see the pick up prompt (do not interact with it as its current state is the "spawn state" and that's what we need to fix)

2: press "~" to enter the console

3: click on the duplicated item (the item reference code will now be displayed in the center of you screen and all commands will apply to that item code)

4: type "disable" and press enter (the item should disappear from your display, the reference code may not)

5: Press "~" again to exit the command console

6: save and reload.

2: In the library there is a staff on the left side of the staff enchanter table. it would appear that it is not in the way of the character passing between the main desk and the enchanting table BUT the staffs hitbox is extended way out down the length of it and is reaching to the chair positioned in front of the desk. to get to the staff enchanter I have to go around the right side of the desk.

NO FIX YET: attempted to use the mod "placeable statics" to move the staff somewhere it wont be a problem but PS didn't recognize it as an editable mesh.

!!!!IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER GLITCHES/BUGS OR FIXES PLEASE REPLY TO THIS THREAD!!!!

So I absolutely love this house mod but I've had a problem with the upstairs, when building the house it doesn't let me put the roof on until I build the 2nd floor supports, but the supports get in the way of entering the bathroom under the stairs, and it adds the vanilla stairs and balcony, so in order for me to get to the library and other stuff upstairs I have to jump over the vanilla railing, and it makes other parts of the upstairs completely shut off, so if anyone could help me find a fix that'd be amazing, thanks!

I've also been having this problem. Installed everything as directed, built everything as ordered and reinstalled. Nothing, even went through the entirety of the comments on the nexus page, not one mention of this issue. Hope something comes up...

I have the exact same problem. It seems to be a known conflict with Lux. The Mod Author of Lux, GGNUNIT is aware of the issue and provides a suggestion on how to make the two mods play nice together. It is listed on his bug page for Lux. He does not have a patch at this time and says it is low on the schedule list.

"You can still use the mod, you just need to disable all of my edits in that cell, maybe keeping lighting templates if you want it to be darker but that's all. Thus it'll solve all conflicts and keep that mod's lighting." -GGUUNIT on his Lux bug page.

Unfortunately, I don't know how to do that but hope his suggestion will help others who have this issue with Lakeview As it Should Be.

Loving this house mod but just one bug causing ctd. Followed all instructions and everything else seems fine.

In the cellar at the orcish display. Standing close and looking at the wall plaque causes a crash. If you look down and drop stuff in the box, everything works as it should and items are placed. If you back away far enough before looking up, no ctd. You can also look at it from a distance. I did noticed a slight flicker on the plaque. All the other displays are fine.

Any ideas on this?

Thanks.

Having exactly the same issues. I thought it could have been the dregs of having added mods through Bethesda of 'HearthfireBasementEntry' or 'HearthfireFreeBuild' and remained when I transferred over to Vortex... removed everything and still no joy. Got the patch for the CC fishing that fixed the basement issues but still nothing for upstairs.

I know how to adapt and mange having learned over the last few years, but disabling edits in cells' and to be honest using SSEEdit or anything like that is pushing it for me without extensive backup through YouTube instruction. Just don't think there is anything that can be done at my pay grade... Im happy the basement is fixed, but I sure would like a hassle free Lakeview as it was usually my go to - even before LKVM -now I just cant go back to vanilla.

First post on here, hope it's helpful. Had the same issue with stairs clipping through the fireplace and stuff. Just spent an hour or so tampering with SSEEdit and got it to work. Here is something of a guide for those like me who haven't really used it:

1. Open up MO2, run SSEEdit

2. When the "module Selection" window pops up, right-click and choose "select none", then either scroll or type Lux in the filter bar

3. Left click the checkbox for Lux.esp, it's the only one that matters for this, then click OK

4. When the process completes, navigate to the left pane and click the little plus next to Lux.esp and then do the same for the subheading "Cell"

5. It should give a list like Block 0, Block 1, etc. through Block 9, inside of each should be several Sub-Blocks

6. Click through them until you see something akin to "BYOHHouse1" and select it (I Believe the main house is in Block 8 and the cellar is in Block 4, can't remember what sub-blocks as I am writing this retroactively)

7. If you have left-clicked on the correct one, the right pane should show that it is conflicting with "LKVM Main House.esp" or "LKVM Cellar and Exterior.esp" depending on which one you are after (in the case of clipping stairs, it is main house)

8. Once you have selected the correct cell, simply right click on it in the left pane and select the "remove" option.

9. A window will pop up asking if you are sure. when the timer finishes, select yes.

10. When you are satisfied, close down SSEEdit. It should give you a prompt asking if you would like to save your changes, select yes.

11. Boot up Skyrim again and profit.

If you get it wrong, don't worry. Just go back to nexus and redownload lux, everything will be restored and can be looked over again the same way.

When I did this, I loaded back into my current save (which was even inside the house) and everything was normal. If that doesn't fix it, try re-instancing into the house or reloading a save from before the house was built. Make sure you also follow the directions on the mod page description.

Hopefully this guide is specific enough for those with less computer know-how than myself. If not, I will try to make edits accordingly.
