I have upgraded to a premium user and the download speed does not improve at all.  Going back to free-user.  Premium is not worth the money.  My average download speed is 100mb's but Vortex keep downloading at maximum 2.3mb's.

1. cancel any download(s) you started before you became a premium member

2. Log out of the Nexus

3. Log out of Vortex (If you use it)

4. Log back into The Nexus and Vortex.

5. Go to your NEXUS MODS Profile, click SITE PREFERENCES

6. Click PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP PREFERENCES

7. In the PREFERRED DOWNLOAD LOCATION Dropdown menu, select a PREMIUM Server that's close to you, or the one that gives you the best speed.

Premium is a way for people to show their appreciation for a huge collection of free mods. Those servers cost money...

 

Premium does not guarantee fast downloads. That depends on your ISP and how busy the server is at the time.

You might also want to check if you are actually connected to a premium server. There is a forum topic for download problems...

While I don't dispute the OP's claim about his slow downloads, as a premium user I've never experienced this problem.  On the fiber optic service I have access to, I typically download at speeds approaching the service limit of 1000Mbps.

 

And 1ae0bfb8 is right - the OP's issue has nothing to do with Vortex.
