Request - In-Game Specialization Selection Window Increase

This may either be impossible or merely seem like a strange and pointless request, but hopefully it's doable.

The in-game specialization screen only holds a maximum of 8 viewable specializations at a time. With all the amazing mods out there, we've hit quite a few more than that (especially for Mages and Warriors).

As it stands currently, if you use the Chantry Monk specialization mod (a personal favorite) you can't use any other custom specialization mods for mages because the Monk is a total of four specializations in one mod. The sad part is that you essentially have to make a new game just to try other specs, because you can't even add new mage specializations to non-Monk mages in your party.

Basically, my request is a choice:

Either A: A way to increase the viewable specializations choices in-game past the 8 max.
or
B: A way to view specializations on a character-by-character basis. Meaning you might have Chantry Monk visible for your main character, but not visible for Morrigan or Wynne allowing both of those to have other custom mage specialization choices visible.

I'm not sure if either can work, but I doubt I'd be the only person falling madly in love with whomever even tries to make this happen.

Thank you!

Update to this request:

I am only just now getting back to playing through all the old content. Apparently Dragon Age: Awakenings fixed this issue; 12 specializations are showing for Mage with a scroll bar capability.

If that could be adapted to Origins, love would be had by all.

hmm in origins i have 12 specs showing easily, maybe try changing screen size to be smaller in settings?

or maybe you need to install the mods a different way, how do you install them?

My screen size is maxed resolution, but it is wide screen. Are you using a squared resolution or wide? I think you're the first person to ever say they could actually see more than 8 (which is awesome if that's the case.)

I install my mods through DAO Mod Manager, and follow any of the specific instructions as needed. They all work individually, it's only the maximum of 8 issue.

Side note, which class are you on that you're seeing 12 specializations for?

it's for rogue and warrior

I'm honestly curious, how do you have 12 rogue and warrior specializations to choose from? I may be counting wrong, but the only spec for Origins I have more than 8 possibilities for with mods is Mage.

Ah, I haven't used that because the "New Version" link doesn't work on its description page.

So when you're on the Specialization level-up page (not the spells page), you see more than 8 Specialization choices to choose from?

There must be something in that one specific mod that allows for that, because no other Specialization mod shows past 8 that I've found.

One of the long-ago site updates changed the link format (and broke any old links), but the mod ID number can be used to find those mods.

Look at the 'New Version' non-working link; the numbers at the end are the mod ID > 3316.

Open any working link to a DAO mod on the Nexus, and replace the numbers after mods/ with the numbers for the mod with the broken link.

In this case, your new, working link for the 'New Version' is https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/3316
