rbsdrummer
Would it be illegal for me to take voice files from another game, say TES Oblivion, and use them on a custom npc?
TheVampireDante
If you planned on releasing it as a mod - yes. If just for yourself, created by yourself and given to no one else - no.
brandon17
Without permission, yes. Though I believe CD Projekt Red allows modders to use all the witcher 1 & 2 assets. So you could just go that route if it's true.

Thanks though! I was hoping I could make the Adoring Fan in Skyrim to everyone's dismay. I guess the Eight do not approve.
AlduinWorldEater
The Adoring fan!? Talos save us all...
rbsdrummer
Oh yes, Alduin. Skyrim is not safe. I might do some voice acting on my own if I can be annoying enough then. What use is the Throat of the World without an annoying fan to kill off of it....now with the THUUM!!!!!
modder3434
you could voice the adoring fan yourself, or get someone else too (I would do it)... you can use the same dialogue...as long as you mention that specific line(s) of dialogue are property of Bethesda. rbsdrummer
modder3434 how would one cite Bethesda? On the mod page or??? Is there a site I can see all these rules/laws because I'd rather read them myself than bother you guys lol. (And modder that'd be awesome but can you be so annoying people want to kill you? Hahaha)
Psychotogen
Why not just call Beth to find out? I'm sure they probably have someone you can talk to about that.
TimeLadyKatie
If you go the new voice route, which I personally think would be way, way cooler, you could tailor lines specifically to Skyrim!
