pathfinderwrathooftherighteous Mod Request: Expanded Mount/Companion Selection

While I understand restricting the mount/companion animal only to a horse for some classes (any Cavalier except Beastrider), I had an idea to roll up a Freedom Loving / Chaotic Good Kitsune Arcane Rider but was really disappointed that this magic-based class was restricted to only horses rather than having the option to select one of the more exotic mounts (wolves, dogs, smilodon, etc.)

 

Am I possibly missing something already built into the game mechanics or existing mods (e.g. Toybox) that would make this possible?
