It should go to Main Menu.

We may change the key but we still use the "Escape" function an awful lot, saving in particular.

It should go to Main Menu.

Having the ket actually go there is only logical.

It should go to Main Menu.

We already have a key that goes to Journal after all, so the escape?

It should go to Main Menu.

Two function keys going to the same place is... silly.

It should go to Main Menu.

There's quicksave and quickload, I suppose, but I don't use those. Several of us loathe the things.

It should go to Main Menu.

How this hasn't been added to the Unofficial Patch is beyond me.

It should go to Main Menu.

Thank you for your time...

Cordially,

It should go to Main Menu.

P.S.

It should go to Main Menu.

I could be wrong, but I think this is one of those things that they changed when going from original Skyrim to Special Edition. In any event, I believe that this is an engine level setting that cannot be changed with an ESP / ESM setting and thus outside the bounds of the Unofficial Patch.

That said, take a look at this mod which requires SKSE64: Stay At The System Page

If this works, it is all I could ask for. (There's always ESL, I suppose...) But, seriously, What was going through the heads of Oddh Toward and the others, cheese gifted them by Sheogorath?

Addendum: It's just a .dll file. Weird.

And I don't think it works. I'm gonna try from a newgame.

...but it doesn't. Change it, I mean. If these idiots insist on this then they could at least have the common decency to unassign the quick journal hotkey as it's no longer necessary.

Found the problem. Your link is to the older version of the .dll file, meant for versions before 1.5.39 whereas later instances including the long-standing 1.5.97 are addressed by https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19832 Stay at the System Page - Updated. Trust Bathysphere to double down.
