Questions about converting ESP to ESP with ESL flag for Skyrim SE

I read a few guides and got a little confused. Here we have an esp plugin, in SSEEdit after applying the script "Find ESP plugins which could be turned into ESL" it says "Can be turned into ESL by adding ESL flag in TES4 header". So you can add an ESL flag and save precious space in plugin loading. But here's something that is not clear.

1. Somewhere in the guides I saw that if a mod has scripts, and there is an appeal to FormID in them, then such mods cannot be converted. Does this apply to mods that say "Can be turned into ESL by adding ESL flag in TES4 header"? We do not change the FormID of such plugins. This only applies to plugins that say "Can be turned into ESL by compacting FormIDs first, then adding ESL flag in TES4 header"? Here we are just changing the FormID.

2. I saw several times that people wrote: "After converting to ESL (I don't know if they meant adding the ESL flag or changing the plugin format) scripts stop working." This is true? Or did they do something wrong, and because of this, they did not work for them?

3. If SSEEdit writes "Can be turned into ESL by adding ESL flag in TES4 header", does this mean that the mod can definitely be converted to ESL, or are additional checks needed?

4. If the converted mod is a master file for other mods, then it cannot be converted?

P.s. I apologize if I wrote something wrong. English is not my primary language.

I use a simpler method. And it does work quite well for most thing. That is the creation kit. Start that up, load in your mod, Ignore the warnings that come up. Then go to Compact Form ID's. Then convert to light master. And you are pretty done in CK. Go to your override folder, and move the new .esl file into your mod. I have done this for a number of mods. I am not 100% sure on the scripts part, but this may work, or may not. But the two methods do lighten the .esp load. I typically do armor and weapon mods, so not many scripts there involved. But I do know some of the patches are already flagged as such. But this might be something you can try.
