daysgone Mods to make the game harder?

I played this quite recently and really enjoyed it. However t is really a bummer that even on the hardest difficulty it is trivially easy, both in the huge amount of resources everywhere but also the enemies. Playing on the hardest diff you would expect things to be very scarce but you will have resources pouring out of your ears. You know something is wrong when you play on the hardest diff and you still stop to pick flowers in the middle of a fight. It is a real shame because it would be super interesting to have to really go out and scavange and explore the environments for resources, but it is never needed as you will have more than enough to even bother.

 

Is there any mods out there that fixes this? I would like to replay the game at some points but I would want it to really feel like a survival game where you really need to pay attention and scavange etc to get by.

 

Also tt would be more interesting if you had to get gas from trashed cars instead of finding full gas cans or stop at a gas station and fill up, but also to compensate the rate of which gas is depleted is way overdone and should be more realistic.

I don't know of any mods that make resources more scarce. But, there are a couple of mods that make the game a little more difficult.

 

This mod increases the number of freakers in a horde; https://www.nexusmods.com/daysgone/mods/97

 

^^^This mod kinda balances out the resource problem because now you'll have no choice but to save a lot of resources if you want to have enough resources to kill the larger hordes. No more going willy nilly with the gunpowder weapons, napalm, or cocktails cause you'll run out if you don't use them wisely.

 

This mod makes it so that the screamers summon a mini-horde of about 20-30 swarmers instead of 5; https://www.nexusmods.com/daysgone/mods/131

 

There may be other mods that make the game more difficult, but I'm not aware of them.

EDIT: I just remembered another mod that increases the hearing of the freakers. Makes it difficult to 'tip toe' around hordes. Although this mod increases their hearing, it also reduces their sight... but overall the hearing increase is great for a challenge; https://www.nexusmods.com/daysgone/mods/206
