[LE] Adding custom riding animations for a unique mount

I have some riding anims I want to use for a custom mount. Is it possible to add them to that mount alone without replacing anims for vanilla horses? I already have the base anims extracted so I have a rough idea how to replace everything, but I'm not sure how to do it standalone in the CK. What am I looking for exactly? What handles the riding animations?

Doable yes but not a quick project

 

To override mount animation you can apply a concept similar to tails by using a behavior graph on their skin mesh. For best results set their dismember instances into skin instances and preserve the skeleton structure in the tree. You will want to make a custom race based on the one the game uses for riding aka horse race. Using another race is possible but you would need to go a lot more graph work, vs if you use horse as a base you can simply edit skeleton and do animations tweaks to a copy of horseproject

 

For the rider it gets more complicated. You could make a Nemeis/FNIS/etc profile, or make your own using an approach to call subgraph animations based on the motions you do

 

Could also go entirely different routes but those would be a lot more work than above already is. TBH this kind of mod isnt a thing for a kinda good reason :\
