Trying to make a weapon model replacer mod and I need help.

This is my first go at the creation kit. I want to make a personal mod which seems fairly simple to me, but it requires some explanation.

I downloaded a mod before Dawnguard came out that added fantastic looking dragonbone weapons to the game. Then with Dawnguard, terrible-looking but statistically superior dragonbone weapons were added. I couldn't bring myself to use the ugly Dawnguard ones, but lately I got back into Skyrim and decided I'd replace the Dawnguard dragonbone models with the models added by the pre-Dawnguard mod.

So I go into the creation kit and watch a few tutorials to get a basic understanding of what I'm doing. It seems easy enough, but when I try to view the model of the modded dragonbone weapons, I get a notification that the model doesn't exist. It obviously does, as the weapons have a unique model and texture in-game, but I have no way to access them.

I usually prefer Nexus, but this dragonbone weapon mod doesn't exist on it anymore, so I got it from Steam Workshop. Does that have something to do with the lack of a model? Is there some way to download or retrieve the mod's models? Thanks!

The mod's models should be in the bsa, which should be part of the download if you got it from the workshop (as far as I know, the workshop does not support uploading loose files). Here's a tutorial about extracting items, hope that helps you out :)
