DarkSpyda04
I'm trying to capture gameplay with AVS Video Editor and the recorded gameplay footage is displayed as a black screen and has no audio. However when I exit the game and go back to the desktop I get a return of visuals. Why is this? What can I do to fix it? I'm gonna need to record footage sooner or later if I start modding. LFact
Does it suitable for capturing DirectX or OpenGL-accelarated game or demo screen? Have you tried recording some other games with that? I don't know since I've been using Fraps for capturing game screenshot and footage video.
DarkSpyda04
Alright, in testing out other games I just tried RESIDENT EVIL 2 with both the PSX emulator version and the PC version and noted the differences in capture. Emulator version-Audio is out of sync-Video playback is sped up-Video captures in both minimized and full-screen PC Version-Audio is in sync with video-Video stutters (flashes spastically)-Gameplay is captured in upper left-hand corner of the screen despite being full-screen. This is due to the low screen resolution (320x240) that only a game from 1998 could use. In order to solve this problem, I had to lower my screen resolution from 1600x900 (Highest) to 800x600 (Lowest). However, it was still no perfect match. The highest resolution I can set RESIDENT EVIL 2 to is 640x480. Nothing can be done here except to crop out the video if that's even possible. Long story short, yes I can capture other games.
