SKSE Not Showing Newest Version

Thanks to Todd Howard releasing yet another version of Skyrim, i'm having to learn how mods work pretty quickly. Unfortunately, I'm stuck at what I think is a pretty simple step. I use Mod Organizer 2 and when attempting to launch the game through the SKSE launcher, I get "You are using a newer version of Skyrim than this version of SKSE64 supports."

 

Problem is, I updated SKSE with the preliminary AE patch (2.1.2). However, my game is listing that I am using 2.0.19 so it chooses not to run. I'm not sure why it's doing this, i've replaced the files in my Skyrim SE folder, but I guess there's lingering files in there. But i'm not sure what they are. Any ideas?

Okay clearly I probably should have done a little more thinking before posting.

The problem was just the fact it was trying to use an outdated SKSE.exe so I had to select a new binary in Mod Organizer 2 to launch from.

All my mods work as far as I can tell, though with some hiccups from the new update.

I'm having the exact same problem but i don't even know what a binary is, i use mod organizer 2 as well. please help!

im using the correct skse64 2.1.2 and my game is on the 1.6.3... patch for skyrim AE. Yet, i load in game, and get that the skse version is wrong?

 

Also, when fasttraveling to the lover stone of just walking near that region, my game ctd's. i have disabled all my mods, yet problem still persists. Any ideas?
