ArcaneCrow55 Posted November 25, 2021 Share Posted November 25, 2021 So basically I began playing the special edition and downloaded some mods from nexus along with the script extender for running SkyUI. I also downloaded a mod to depatch the game to get around the AE issues. The first time around the game seemed to run fine in terms of fps upon running through the SKSE loader, however when I booted it up again later there was a noticable drop in fps. Upon then running the game through the regular Steam launcher for a quick test, the fps was as it should be, but obviously you can't use the mods this way as it doesn't load the script extender. I think it may have started when I did something to link the SKSE loader to the Steam launcher using Method 2 on this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/8ahj5u/three_methods_to_run_skse64_through_steam/It started happening after doing this, but I think I reversed this by doing "Verify integrity of game files" on Steam, however the low fps problem still persists.
