Tab56 Posted December 4, 2021 Share Posted December 4, 2021 Hey everyone ! Ok i'm having some issue right now but before explaining my self i should tell you about my setting and all. So i'm using the english GOTY version of morrowind, I add all the mods i like manually, around 50 of them but all work perfectly before what happen.I also use WryMash, TES3, Moxl, to make the leveling and object list work nicely. Everything was Green in Wrymash and even if it was manually all my mods have used to work fine. Everytime i used to put a new mods, i test it myself by going in the new land, see if it work with rebirth, running and activating things, before get back to my usual quest and keep it for later on. I can tell you all the mods i used if you think it can be something related with other mods. My plan was to enjoy this game first, but also make a new reborn version has a gift for my old brother who have used to love this game back in the day. So the problem is a big issu i enconter after using one specific mod, it's call "Go fletching". In this mods you can acces with a new tool, a new menu who show some arrow or bolt you can craft yourself, sounds very nice ! You need also a skill extenssion to make it work so i download it and put it in the right location also. But when i try it the game actualy try to open my right click menu (Inventory/stats/spell and map) and the fletching in the same times, making the game doing some strobe between those 2 menu. At this time i can't close the fletching menu, and can't close my right click menu, so i decide to press esc and exit the game. I was thinking it's just a compatibility problem so i decide to remove fletching then restart my game. But when i came back to the game my right click menu totaly disaperd ! When i right click nothing happen, not game paused, no menu show, nothing, so i think maybe it's just the key binding who have change, or been removed, but even worth, when i try to acces the control option, to reset the key binding, the game just crash, morrowind dont want me to acces the controls ! I can go to all the other options like video, sound, but the controls scare make my game crash when i click on it. I was like "ok, i made a mistake, i juste have to redo everything from the beggining" it's not the first time after all, i just want to make a morrowind reborn version, some mods match, some dont, i need to choose wisely. but here come the real problem ! Even when i uninstal morrowind from my computer, and reinstal it, i still can't have acces to my right click menu and the controls scare option. Even if i download the basic vanilla game without any mods on it, even if i unable tribunal and bloodmoon to play as the rawest vanilla ever ! I also have removed every trace of file call "morrowind" from my computer. I don't know what to do now ... i try to find a game command who can reset my key bidding without going to the options but no succes. My mousse work perfectly. (Haha opfully otherwise you would have call me stupid guy !) A friend told me maybe it's just some encrypted file that you can't touch who making some mess. But i'm not a programmer, just a fan of the elderscrolls games who try to improved this masterpiece ! If someone can help me or even just tel me something else to try it would be awesome ! Tab56 Posted December 6, 2021 Author Share Posted December 6, 2021 Ok so after a loong time trying to fix it with my litle knowledge, i finally find out how to reset my keybinding ! Just when using the fletching interface then open the option menu, at this time i can have acces to the "controls" option without crashing, then i change the open menu keybinding with the normal right click. I realised that the binding was something scary, like a big lign of text. Then i retry the manip, but it still doing the same things that i explain before, if you enconter this problem, dont exit the game, just change the binding of you're "open menu" correctly when you have both of them open, then the 2 interfaces will stop strobe. Just have to close them both after that. Also the 2nd times i try the open menu binding was set on "right click 1000" instead of "right click 1" always when i try to use the fletching tools this stuff want to change my keybinding idk why.
