A SV problem and a Nexus problem

My eyes were damaged by cataract surgeries gone awry. My eyes have hurt, have been extremely photophobic since March 2nd and 3rd. Yes, I'm struggling. I don't think my surgeon did anything incorrectly--I think I was just unlucky that day, and got two rare, bad outcomes.

I love using bombs in the mines. My dexterity and speed in the game are well suited to bombs...it's amazing how hard the sling shot is for me to use because, well, I just can't see the target thingie.

But all three bombs will go off with a much brighter flash. My room has to be darker at night, so this really hurts my eyes. Is it possible that a simple mod could change that flash to something a lot less bright? The whole screen goes white. It may also have triggered some absence seizures which I haven't had in years. I'm not eager to keep experiencing that.

If someone who understands the modding process could write something to make this easier on my eyes, I will gladly do what I could do in return. Of course there are other things like missing dig spots, not being able to tell what is fertilized and what isn't...but the bomb thing is the worst.

Second issue: I'm signed in, apparently. I get nagged to endorse everything I've ever downloaded, but it usually won't TAKE an endorsement from me. I'd really prefer to be handing out money but fate didn't leave me in a situation where I can do that. What does this site what me to do so that I can endorse?

Some mods I use because they make it easier for me to play with my disabilities. I can't waste clicks!

If you can make your replies easy for me to read, I'd appreciate it very much. I think my browser is making war against the magnifying functions.

Hi there!

Hello there! I am happy to help!

If you can't endorse a mod it is because Nexus doesn't think you've downloaded the mod.

When you download a mod through the files tab it doesn't count as refreshing the page when you go back to description or whatnot. In order to endorse, download the mod, then refresh your browser with the little circle spiny arrow button that is in different places depending on your browser. Then the endorse button will be yellow and allow you to click it.

Additionally, you can go to your downloads history within the nexus sight. To do this, find the mods dropdown. Look at the top of your screen near the nexus logo it will say "Games" and next to it "Mods" "Media" "Community" "Support" each of which has a dropdown menu. Click on "Mods" and a dropdown will appear, within that dropdown is a link that says "download history". It will take a wee bit to load. Once it has loaded you will be greeted with a list of all the mods you've ever downloaded and on the right side of the table there will be a column labeled "Endorsement" that has a thumbs up, click the thumbs up to endorse! This is the preferred way to endorse for me because it is easy to endorse multiple mods in quick succession without having to visit each of their pages individually.

As for the bomb flash, I could very easily create a fix for that once I find where the file for the flash itself is. I don't use bombs so I have no idea what the explosion looks like off the top of my head. If you could get a screenshot or a short video and send it to me it would greatly expedite my ability to help!

Also I can make the slingshot's recital bigger or red or whatever, very easy 10 minute fix once I know where the xnb is saved.

I wish you all the luck with your eyes and am happy to help make your (and presumably other's with similar issues) gaming experiences more enjoyable.

Cheers, Bob.

Thank you so much! The information about giving endorsements will help a lot. I don't know how to take a short video of SDV but I can do a screenshot if I'm fast enough. I 'll try! Clint will undoubtedly require 35 copper ore very soon now.

There are a couple free screen recording applications that work very well. I'm not sure what operating system you are using but Windows 10 has a screen capture that pauses the screen. Windows Key + Shift + S. Try that?

Bob, you're a sweetheart. I got flu or something Worse and have been unable to think, or find this discussion again. I hope in a couple of days I will be.

Finding intermittent issues is so frustrating. This thing with the bombs doesn't happen often, It has happened with the Volcano critters that exploded after you attack them, but not every time. If it happened every time I'd eventually manage to capture.

Bear with me. I'm just glad that there's a gradual improvement so some sort of sign there will be recovery. When this started I should have gone to the ER and they would have put me in the hospital. I want bone sticking out of wounds before I go to an ER!
