character name vs GFWL name (potentially challenging)

So usually when you summon or get invaded, the name that you see (or is seen by others) is the GFWL ID, and I think that takes something out of the multiplayer experience. After all, how much more compelling is it to be invaded by Maneater Mildred (or even friggin Knight Kirk) as opposed to "Chronix532", or worse yet, something like "xXx1337noscope420xXx" and other such ulitarian usernames.

 

My suggestion is a mod that would allow the name of the character RATHER than the player to be displayed.

In doing so, we would find ourselves that much more immersed in the multiplayer as even names with little thought like "Robert" or "Mr. Giggles" make far more sense in-game than virtually ANY GFWL ID, given their tendancy to include numbers.

 

This is, unfortunatly, something that is easier said than done since anything involving network mechanics is far and away more complicated than a common texture change on a weapon, and would be outright impossible if character name were not included in the data exchanged between client and host (although that seems unlikely)
