Skyrim-based metaverse-style Crypto project using Skyrim's engine (Skyrim is kind of like it's own metaverse already, isn't it?)

Hello, I am starting this here as I think this will make for an interesting thread. First of all, I think I need to reach out in this way because the best people to talk to about this ultimately, is this forum. Essentially, I'm a crypto-currency developer and obviously a fan of the elder scrolls franchise. Ever since I was in my teenage years I have been heavily moding since the early Oblivion days. When I was younger, I realized how unique the modding communities of Elder Scrolls/Fallout actually are. Years later now, working as a developer for crypto tokens there's a variety of ideas being put forth. This one is mine.

In Summary: Create a crypto currency featuring a variety of yield farming/staking/mining features and involves some type of play-to-earn mechanic as well. Then this system is adopted onto an online server which hosts a (ideally) functioning multiplayer-mod/custom world built using the myriad of existing textures/meshes of the skyrim nexus forums. This same concept could theoretically be applied to Fallout. If you guys are not already familiar, I would suggest checking out "Defi Kingdoms (A harmony-one crypto project.) Essentially I think a modded world could be built by this same community by working together the same way *everything* on this community has gotten done - through engagement/excitement and dedication of the people here. Only now, there's assets.

I think what would need to be done essentially would be to assemble a team of vetted mods/teams to work together to create an game-overhaul mod (ideally using prexisting/created content/mods) that works flush with a multi-player mod for Skyrim. IF this could be achieved, looking at the results of projects like Harmony one - I think it's a no brainer. It would be the first 'real' 3d world crypto video game. If it was playable, people would use it and I can almost guarantee it would be a massive project with tons of investors. There would be no substantial costs associated with making it like a traditional video game built from scratch. We can incentivize the community and the developers would certainly make substantial money as well. Eventually, this can become it's own thing I think. Ideally enough money could be raised to create a "real." custom game/metaverse eventually. Harmony one is a multi-billion dollar project that uses 2d textures and animations for it's metaverse. That's because it's built from scratch, development will take forever. But I know of a community that's been building it's own metaverse for a long time ...

Questions comments and concerns : I am not a game-developer myself so this may be impossible. However, what does *this* community think? Imagine all the hours that's been put into this community - well now there is a platform in which everyone can actually earn something. The only people that might not like this idea is Bethesda, to be honest; but that's okay. So is what I'm saying *theoretically* possible? Plausible even? Is there anything that anybody is aware of that has been attempted like this so far?

Thoughts, comments, concerns, ideas, etc are greatly appreciated.

Yeah I mean I didn't necessarily think this would be easy. But if people can make mods using the same engine and develop their own lands and textures/meshes/worlds how is that any different? Because it was done for free? That's sucks. You have to remember that crypto currencies to not necessarily classify as money. Would you be able to direct me to the rules specifically?

And Also - I'm not talking about hijacking the game skyrim itself so much as using the development tool kit and the hoard of pre-existing overhauls/mods/lands/community/etc that are entirely custom built and feature their own world/universe and story.

The development tool kit is the thing that has the EULA that prevents you from using it to make money.

Can't use the game engine and make money. Can't use the game assets and make money. Can't use the Creation Kit and make money.

And don't start with the "crypto currency is only money when we want it to be money" nonsense.

Ehhh I'm not so sure on that. I bet there's not enough specifications in regards to crypto-currencies; It's not technically money. I can say *that* with confidence. I think a play-to-earn crypto built using said system would be better than EOS tbh
