Is there any way to "sync" the weapon display positions when not equipped with ones when you equip them? For example, i edit the sword position in Gear Positioning and the Equipment changes accordingly, or vice versa.

Spoiler

Like is says in the description: gear positioning affects both equipped and displayed gear while anything configured in the equipment/custom view affects displays only. So, you'd want to simply use gear positioning and not touch equipment transforms at all.

I'm just commenting to commend this mod. Absolutely incredible, very flexible, relatively lightweight and completely non-disruptive to install mid-game. This mod is a testament to how far Skyrim modding has come in 11 years.

I was endlessly searching for a cocktail of mods that would allow me to visibly display a shield on my back, a crossbow, and a backpack. Nothing worked quite the way I wanted. With this mod I not only got what I wanted, it also let me modify gear placement in ways I didn't think were possible. Now my Orc adventurer slings his shield over his left shoulder, and it looks AWESOME.

So kudos. Great stuff.

I'm came from using Visible Favorites when I found this mod. I love the concept of NPC weapons being visible but for some reason, when I have it installed, I'm getting a considerable amount of lag. Is there something I'm doing wrong that is causing this? I'm using NMM to install. Thank you for your time.

The cpu overhead from the mod itself is marginal, typically barely enough to measure let alone cause lag (see the AP line under Tools->Stats, it's in microseconds per frame). Any performance considerations come down to the engine: how many additional 3D objects are loaded by IED, how demanding they are to render and your pc specs. That said, it would take a lot of reasonably high-poly meshes rendered at once to even notice a slight performance drop on a mid-range machine. You're the first to even mention a performance impact so it's safe to say that the problem is on your end, either the pc is already struggling or there's something very odd going on with your setup.

I have a computer with Intel® Core™ i7-5960X CPU with 32 GB of Ram and two Nvidia GTX 980 TIs so I didn't think that would be an issue but and if you had said this already, I apologize, but could it be a possibility that I have too many mods that add NPCs and change appearances that it could be having a hard time loading them in? I'll be the first to admit I'm a bit new to modding and any help and thoughts are appreciated.

Their appearance makes no difference, but if you had say 150 npcs loaded around you each having displayed half a dozen custom hq weapons and your cpu/gpu resources were already stretched to the limit there might actually be a noticable performance drop, but that's an absurd scenario.

All you really said was 'it lags' and you're the sole guy in these comments with this issue, so put 2+2 together - the problem is on your end and nobody can help unless you give detailed information, so you're on your own. The stats window might be of some use, it shows how many items are loaded at any given time along with the performance counters I mentioned.

EDIT: also, your download history shows you've been using it since version 1.1.4 (first dl on 30 Jan 2022), you're just noticing this now?

I wasn't meaning to sound like it was a problem on your end, sorry if I made it sound that. I've also looked through the comments and bugs and found out I was the only one having that problem. I'm a bit new with modding, what sort of tool would I use to find out those stats and performance counters?

EDIT: I downloaded it but I hadn't tried installing it until now. The only ones I've tried is 1.4.1 and 1.5.0.

Found a stats and performance counter and got it fixed. Been running it without lag and works great. Endorsed!
