Would love a "for dummies" version - one setup, player and npcs all use it - I have never managed to get any global settings work - if that's what they do - seem to have to manually apply the settings to about 30+% of npcs to enforce the disrobing function (swimming around etc with weapons still visible) Seems the updates add more and more functions which I would never use.

hI! in my log it says:

I'm using the latest version of this mod (for 1.6.353) and there is no "gear positioning" option in the menu . Any clue about what I'm doing wrong ?
Edit : I'm turbo dumb ... I had the menu window way up so I couldn't see the options above ... x.x

Looks like new version disable ImprovedCameraSE pre4 as in cant see yourself in first person and CTD upon loading any save.

Can confirm, newest version of IED completely disables and causes CTD with ICSE.
Edit: For now, use the 1.5 version of IED if you use ICSE until a fix comes out to be compatible with ICSE.

There are no new animations, IED uses the ones that come with XPMSE but to gain acces to them need a behavior made with FNIS
I been trying to get it running with both FNIS and Nemesis and I get the animations but all the nemesis stuff don´t work.
probably I´m doing something wrong I´ll just wait until there is a version that support nemesis

Hope you don't mind if I ask about an issue about shield on back draw and sheathe animations I talked about in early June, I guess, when it was 1.5.0 version of your mod. For reminding, I tried to build a Frankenstein of combined Nemesis and FNIS to achieve this result. By the way, it doesn't work for some reason now: guess because I built a new Frankenstein of Skyrim 1.5.97 with SKSE 2.0.20 and Best of Both Worlds downgrade. Anyway...
Basically, I'd like to know if there was something about this in new versions. I know that you warned in Simple Dual Sheath comments that it's XPMSSE-related thing. However, in changelog of IDE 1.6.0 I found this line: "Detect if Simple Dual Sheath has shield on back enabled, used with animation switching", so I wonder if it's related to this animations thing somehow. Also, maybe there's something new about this in general.
