Creating a Custom Appearance/Race

Salutations, Nexus,

So I am attempting to learn how to use the Skyrim Creation Kit (As briefly states in "Blind and Diving In"), and the thing that has me most curious is the idea of creating a new race. A playable race, that is, including toying with the race's appearance.

Alas, I have come across some....setbacks. For one, at this point in time, I am just trying out the "lesson" if you will, of modifying the stats of a simple weapon (Glass sword) in order to get my feet wet.

Except....given that I am restricted to a lower resolution, I've run into a problem. When the weapon's stat dialog box comes up, I can't get to the "OK" button to confirm and test the thing out. I've already tried working at a higher resolution (Mind you, this does not help me visually. I have no vision whatsoever to work with. Most often, my fiancée/guide is at my shoulder).

Ultimately, I wish to learn how to use this thing to create a custom model/race for a personal illustration intended for a larger project. (All credit where it belongs, of course!)

ETA: I have found some (Well, a few) pretty decent "How-tos" when it comes to using the Creation Kit. Except I've run into a rather...odd problem.

When I attempt to follow said instructionals by example (Say, minorly tweaking a weapon or something)...the dialogue boxes end up so large they literally don't fit entirely on screen. Hence, I can't even get to the OK button, even with my sighted guide/fiancée over my shoulder.

Anyone else have such an issue?
