Vampire head and body mismatch! help! :(

skyrim, just really ain't fun when it starts to bug you out. This glitch is very very old and is known when you have dawngaurd dlc, and yet i still haven't found the solution to it, even with the mods available at nexus's arsenal of bug fixing mods.. aesthetically, its the vampire head and body mismatch where your body color doesn't match with the character's face..

a little background of mods that i use that would affect vampires are:

Better Vampires mod

Royal Blood extended vampire skills
lore friendly hair hd

and XCE character enhancement, XCE dawnguard (<-- those are just skin mods, not body model replacers)

now, better vampires was confirmed by the author that the mod does not change vampire appearance in any way! the author also suggested other vampire face fixes (all of them, really), which in turn, i have already tried exactly how it is instructed, but doesn't solve the vampire burnt face, head body mismatch.

Royal blood.. obviously, just modifies the vampire lord skill.. nothing to suspect there.

XCE character enhancement and XCE dawnguard - skin textures, face, body, eyes all in one pack. now, even with this mod uninstalled, which i already tried, still doesn't solve the problem.

P.S. better vampires also allows you to turn followers into vampires, if you turn them they will also be affect by the burnt face body mismatch glitch. there was a temporary fix, but very very temporary and not good enough.

it's really tiring to find such unknown culprits.. because of it, it makes skyrim less enjoyable. games should be relaxing.. not another tiring work after we get home.. even though we're speaking with mods. HAHAHA. i hope someone, anyone, could help me find the solution.. this would also help mod users with the same glitch as mine who long for fixes.

specs?: palit GTX 650ti 2GB, 8GB corsair vengeance, i5 processor, and a asus motherboard. (just in case if someone still asks.)

thanks! see replies later. :(

So this burnt face glitch your talking about does it look like your character has a patches of dirt all over their face because if so then i'm having the same issue! I even went as far as to manually remove each one of my textures and meshes one at a time to my desktop and restart the game to see which one was doing it but no luck. BTW i did write down each mesh and texture location so i could put them back exactly whence they came, but i have to admit that i feel better knowing that it may have not been me that caused my avi to look like they have been eating dirt for hours on end. Seriously though if someone does figure out how to fix this PLEASE tell.

finding the perfect match up between body textures and face textures is a pain, especially when it comes to vampires.

I found using the mods listed here for body and face mods to be perfect: http://wiki.step-project.com/User:Neovalen/Skyrim_Revisited_Skyrim1.8#Face_.26_Body

If you do use this, make the changes it suggests by renaming the head textures so vampires don't look like Klingons but instead will have vamp eyes while looking good :)

@Hypermouse1mil - i tried everything!.. every valuable vampire mismatch fix in the internet, especially where you have to rename the femalehead.dds and other formats to femalevampire.dds and place on the same folder, its pain staking work, and the worst case scenario is it doesn't work. i've also tried the available fix/patches for vampires found here in nexus, but still no luck after trying all those fix mods. but check this link out: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/804820-vampire-skin-color-fix-head-and-body-color-mismatch-fix/page-23 this was just in june 2013.. they talking about the vampire head and body mismatch fix. it might be good to try atleast.

@vlaka - thanks for the link, i'll think about changing my body textures. project step is good. but, i'll stick to XCE character enhancement and XCE dawnguard mod.. and maybe i found my culprit, because i was using XCE character enhancement version 1.13 which was intended for the OFFICIAL HIGH RES BETHESDA PACK.. but i'm not using such pack. instead i should be using XCE version 1.10 which was intended for those who doesn't have the high res pack.

i just uninstalled my mods and my skyrim is clean. i'll try doing fixes and get back to these forums later. thanks for the post guys!
