Weapon Cleaning/Sheathing Animation Immersion Mod

An idea that I always liked is finishing combat and having your character do a quick clean of their weapon before moving on.

These animations would have to work under these conditions:

- You have just exited combat (Does not work during combat, to avoid breaking flow, nor does it work when outside of combat).

- You struck someone during that time.

- You sheath your weapon.

...

The animations would display your character taking a moment to clean their weapon. This animation would be between 2 - 3 seconds each before entering the sheath animation.

Every 15 levels, your character's cleaning animation will go from somewhat sloppy to more elegant, efficient, and so on. However, you can disable level-based cleaning if you want and just assign which animation you want for whichever weapon. Each weapon will have 3 different animations.

Daggers:

1 - 14: Your character will hold the dagger aloft and sloppily brush the blade with their hand twice before sheathing.

15 - 29: Your character will plant the blade of the dagger along their arm and brush one side, then the other, before sheathing.

30 - 45: Your character will grab the blade in front of them tight in a fist and simply pull the dagger through their hand to clean the blood without even cutting themselves.

Swords:

1 - 14: Your character will plant the blade on their arm on one side and slide it along their arm to clean the blood before sheathing.

15 - 29: Your character will do the same animation as above, but at the end of the sliding, they will whip their blade out toward the ground to flick blood off before sheathing.

30 - 45: Your character will use a rag to wipe the blade along their hand, then flick it down.

Waraxes:

1 - 14: Your character will simply hold the axe down and flick blood off of it before sheathing.

15 - 29: Your character will grip two fingers along the blade of the axe and wipe it down with your fingers before sheathing.

30 - 45: Your character will hold their forearm out, plant the axe head against their arm, and wipe against the arm, then flick it down to the ground similar to the sword before sheathing.

Maces:

1 - 14: Your character will simply hold the mace down and flick blood off of it before sheathing (Reused)

15 - 29: Your character will smack the mace against their leg twice then flick it once toward the ground.

30 - 45: Your character will smack the shaft of their mace against their arm and give the mace a single flick down before sheathing.

Warhammers:

1 - 14: Your character will flick the weapon twice toward the ground.

15 - 29: Your character will plant the shaft of the weapon into the ground and brush the head with their hand twice.

30 - 45: Your character will hoist the weapon in front of them, smacking the shaft against their palm twice before gripping and giving a single flick.

Battleaxes:

1 - 14: Your character will flick the weapon twice toward the ground. (Reused)

15 - 29: Your character will grip the weapon close to the head along the shaft and wipe it along their leg before sheathing.

30 - 45: Your character will hoist the weapon in front of them, smacking the shaft against thier palm twice before gripping and giving a single flick. (Reused)

Greatswords:

1 - 14: Your character will flick the weapon twice toward the ground. (Reused)

15 - 29: Your character will plant the weapon along their chest and slide it across their body to clean it.

30 - 45: Your character will stab the weapon into the ground and pull up to clean it.

What if you just had a hotkey that you could press whenever you deem weapon cleaning and sheathing appropriate? That might be easier for an animator to implement. Separate animations might also be required for each weapon type. I am not a code guy or animator, so I can't offer much help to you to make this happen. Maybe one of the animation mod authors might be interested in helping.
