So, I'm pretty new to modding in general, apart from the in-game mod manager in Skyrim SE/AE. Yesterday I installed Vortex and installed two mods using it, but I wasn't too happy and decided to try MO2 instead after hearing some glowing reviews. So I uninstalled those mods using Vortex, and uninstalled Vortex. I have now installed MO2 and linked it to Nexus, but Nexus still shows my download options as Vortex or Manual. Should I have unlinked Votex from within the app before uninstalling? Help...

As long as you linked MO2 to Nexus as the desired mod manager for downloads, you should be fine.

 

A mod page's header will always have a "Vortex" button while the individual files will have a "Mod Manager Download" button.  Both buttons will download to whatever mod manager was linked to open Nexus' NXM files.
