Hello, I am a very noob mod maker who barely knows about the CS tool and other stuff...

Recently, I am trying to make a beret with all ears and hair with already made meshes and textures...

SORs hats are the thing that I want to change... the mod has potential use for other mods but it is not usable at the current level...

I theologically know how to make a hat with hair and ears... but don't know how to make something happen...

I am leaving a link to mod and a screenshot... hope someone helps me.

I guess the problem will be to get the ears into the right color really. The hat must most likely be part of the actual head to work best immersive with right colors and textures. I can give it a try when I get time over, but do not expect anything no any wonders if I try it.

The problem with this is, in Oblivion there are 2 slots where head-worn items can be equipped in.

Head - Where everything you equip replaces the entire thing, head mesh, face parts, ears and hair/horn,

Hair - Where the head mesh and face parts remain unaffected but ears and hair/horn disappear.

That's why so far the only head items made which "show" ears all include some kind of "fake" ears to do the trick.

This, however, comes with the exact same problems as a face mask with ears in real life does, like in carnival etc. The ears and/or hairs included will always be static, mis-matching the rest of the head, and never adapt to neither race nor shape or skin color.

Thanks for the heads up Drake. This means I will not try this at all really. I am not interested in making a fake item that will not fit perfect or get the exact right color or hue or texture, which will only waste my energy, and give me negative energy.  :D  i hate negative energy...
