Black Body/Shadow Stretching Glitch (Video)

Hello all!

I came back to my Skyrim game after about 14 hours away to find this glitch (Fig.1 + 2)...no mods were added/changed in between my two sessions, and I've yet to find a solution to the problem. It looks like something in my bodies have messed up, since all of my CBBE bodies have been replaced by black, nondescript ones. Also, when I tried to unequip my head armor it looks like a facemesh covers my screen and the game starts to heavily lag...(Fig. 3)

I've tried reinstalling almost all of my skin/physics/body mods and resorting my load order in LOOT, but nothing has helped at all. I've seen some other posts that mention that I may be out of VRAM, but after downgrading my skin from 8k to 4k nothing changed either.

 

Does anyone else have any good suggestions on how to fix this?

Update: I was dumb and forgot to update a few mods...still not exactly sure how that fixed it, but I ain't complaining. Keeping up in case anyone runs into the same issue, but thread can be closed/deleted if mods prefer to do so!

TBH, I've never seen something like in your pics before. The radial "stripes" remind me of "explosions" I've seen from HDT/SMP stuff not working as it should (e.g. HDT hairs).

 

Since you probably updated to AE (otherwise the Creation Club files wouldn't be there), a simple question: Did you update mods to AE? If not, that woudl be the first thing to do.

 

You need to update at least

- SKSE

- Racemenu

- CBBE 3BA and its requirements (especially CBPC physics, Papyrusutil, HDT-SMP (since the original one isn't updated to AE, use this one instead).

 

Not sure about the stuff from loverslab. I'd guess that SL probably needs an update, too.

 

At any rate, check for necessary updates.
