SteelShinobi Posted March 26, 2022 Share Posted March 26, 2022 Hey all, I've recently downloaded Oblivion goty edition on game pass of PC and have started modding the game as I've done recently with Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Whenever I run obse however, it gives me the error message "obse couldnt not find oblivion.exe, please use obse in the same folder as oblivion.exe", but they are absolutely in the same folder already. I've used the script extender for Fallout 3 and New Vegas and they have worked just fine so far since the fist try. Can anybody help out here? RomanR Posted March 26, 2022 Share Posted March 26, 2022 I can think of some problems which could arise: 1.Running OBSE with shortcut - in shortcut there can be directory mismatch.2.Some security issue - for some reason access to Oblivion.exe was refused. Maybe reinstall to different directory than "Program Files" will help?3.Oblivion.exe compatibility - depending on distribution and OBSE version you will need different obse_loader.exe, but in this case the loader should print another messages as well.4.Somewhat bad install - double check if all OBSE exe files and libraries are present and they are copied to a right place.
