Since I lack the ability/skillset to do this myself, I thought I would put the idea out there for anyone who might be willing to make this. So I don't know about you all, but I am forever getting frustrated with my companion(s), lookin at you Dogmeat... Blocking my field of view when building a Robot at the Workbench, so I had the idea of Moving the Console to the Rear of the workbench while keeping the camera angle the same. maybe adding some flood lights for built in Lighting. just a thought. So I'm afraid that I cant be of any help to you there. :(But.However.Companions are annoying when you're trying to do stuff in work benches. Simple solution is to tell them to go park their butts. A chair or couch works fine for "humanoid" characters, and a dog house, or dog rug works fine for our furry friend. UNfortunately...
