Fallout Equestria: Invisible NPC's

I'm unsure if it's an issue with my load order or the mod but does anyone know why all of the NPC's are invisible? The only character that's visible is the player character since that's simply from CaN.

Attached Below is my load order.

Heyas Kingofsaints.

The actual cause of the problem is that the npc actors have been set for body parts that are not enabled for their race. It's like if you were able to put people clothes on dogmeat, he'd turn invisible. Which, is because without the proper modding, any body that we apply to the PC also transfers to NPCs.

I'm not familiar with the mod itself. Is there a step in the character creation process where you have to designate your toon AS a member of the Equestria race? IF that part was missed, that could be a part of what may be the issue.

Sometimes that is done via a console command.

Now, one of the problems that I'm having, is that I can't find that mod. The only thing I can find is this: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/23109 which affects NPC's. IF that is the mod that you are talking about, it's entirely possible that you don't have clothing items that are modified for use by that race.

As clothes aren't "worn" on body parts in this game, they REPLACE body parts, in this game.

Not sure if this is any help to you or not. I'm afraid I don't have any experience with the kind of mods that you're having problems with.

Hmm that definitely sounds like a possible issue. Does that mean if the clothing is removed that the npcs will be visible? Also, if that truly is the reason then why does it not affect the player?

P.S: yes, the mod you linked is the one that I used.

Theoretically yes. If That's what is causing the problem then nuding them, should take care of it. If the problem is affecting your followers, that would be the best way to test, if you can get to their menus to trade with them.

Otherwise there are mods that allow you to access the trade menu of just regular npcs. Heck, there's even a really, really old pre-CK mod that would let you suck the items off of NPCs, like a vacuum cleaner, LOL (wish I could remember the name of that, it might be fun!)

I think, because, as far as I can tell, the mod doesn't work on the PC, just the NPCs.

Fallout Equestria's goal is to allow YOU the chance to live the Fallout Equestria dream by replacing every single humanoid NPC with ponies.

I don't know where the original mod came from. To know whether it has armors/clothes that are compatible to the new race. Or whether or not somebody has released a patch. At least not here on the nexus. :(

Wanting to test this out I went back into the game and tried the remove all items command. That didnt work. Thinking that maybe this some weird tutorial bug I played further until you first enter Vault 111. When I did the NPC models showed up but now their heads are stretching across the map. I would upload the examples but the screenshot size is over 250kb (250kb is way to small)

No need to post a screenshot. I can visualize it. There's like... tons upon tons of pics and blooper vids of what Bethesda's outdated crapware game engine has done to 3d models *cough cough* Fallout76 *cough cough* Morrowind *cough cough*

Sometimes, that can be attributed to framerates of the game window now matching up with your monitor's framerates. But in this case, I'm willing to bet that it's a lot more mod related.

Tho I'll be 100% honest in saying that I dunno how to fix it

Maybe test run it, with only the pony mods active, on a new game to see if it might be a conflict issue?

Actually.

Now that I think about it.

There's a hair mod, that does similar things in game. (Tho I don't remember which one, now) Particularly while in vault 111, usually starting during the elevator ride down into the vault.

While ur testing, try moving into new zones (IE: keep playing til you get out of the vault) to see if that problem persists.

Again, I'm kinda grasping at old stand-bys here.

So, I left the vault and not only are all human NPC's invisible still my player character is as well! When I go inside buildings everyone is visible but their faces are stretched out. I tried removing all armor and clothes off npc's but that didn't do anything. I swear if I can somehow get this all to work I am immediately uploading a collection for it so no one else will have to deal with this.

Heyas King. UGH. I am SO sorry to hear that. :( :( It's definitely NOT good that it's getting Worse.

Are you by any chance, using F4se?

Are you using a mod manager? If so, what I write next MIGHT not help you.

I recommend doing this: Make a working backup of your current game install, with the problem mods in it. Essentially, Copy the entire game (Fallout4) folder to a different location in your computer. By using f4se.exe as an administrator, you can run the game from pretty much anywhere. I have mine installed directly inside the fallout folder, so anytime I back up my game, it goes along with. I literally have 5 or 6 working copies that I could play from, at any time. (Not that I do. I backed them up for a reason!)

Then go back and remove and reinstall the original installation.

THAT way, you can at least have a playable game, to enjoy, while you try to work out what's going on with the race mod. By simply installing f4se into the newly RE-installed game folder, and then creating a SECOND shortcut to the new f4se.exe In essence, having TWO f4se shortcuts. One in each of the game folders, pointed to the exe file located in the two seperate folders. (I Hope that makes sense).

Now, that said. If you're using a mod manager, this may not work for you. As that manager is still gonna be targeting your installation folder, and if that manager, uses it's own proprietary folders where it installs mods to, rather than into your Fallout 4/Data folders.

The other thing that you would have to watch out for, is that regardless of where the game is installed, Fallout 4 itself only has one file that it reads your mods list from.

"C:\Users\Howlin Wolf\AppData\Local\Fallout4\Plugins.txt" Plugins.txt is the master file that Fallout4 uses to store your installed mods list (.esm .esp and .esl files) and marks which are active an inactive.

You would have to go in, and deactivate the race mods, when you want to play your regular game. And then go in and reactivate them, when trying to get the race mods working, from the working backup.

Hey Wolf,

I use Vortex along with LOOT. I'm not sure what is going on with that mod but its not like I have an unplayable game. While that save wont work properly I do have another save with mods that do not crash the game or break (most the time). Still it would definitely be nice if I can get it to work. I am unsure as to what could cause these issues with this mod. All I can think of is something wrong with the load order but I have no idea where everything should go if that's the case. Other people must have gotten this mod to work somehow. If I could talk to at least one person who can get it to work and see if what they did that would be great. Unfortunately, I know no one like that.
