ok thanks

but will this allow more settlers to come or is there a max limit . I can not remember as when I played fallout 4 before I used the bat file to remove the budget limit and it will not work for me in vr.

or am I getting them confused ?

at least 59 npc is possible without instability (and enough charisma). i had a settlement temporarily with 59 settlers, about 15 spawned by script, many assigned from other settlements. it worked with a higher end rig but i would not recommend it as standard settlement size. i keep my s-sizes between 20 and 30. that is a convenient, performance friendly and stable setting. size is not all that matters...

my currently biggest settlement (39) works flawlessly. the radio beacon related assignment numbers of the link above seem reasonable.

settler budget limit is your charisma (even modified with alcohol, clothing items, bobbleheads, etc etc etc) +10. So if you have a CHR of 10, your limit is 20. This is, however... also controlled by the number of beds in your settlement of course.

What you would need is a mod that increases that "+10" to something like "+15, +20, +25"......

There is a mod that bypasses this mechanic, and instead you recruit by number of beds. SKK Workshop Ownership Utilities https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/31625

Tho I don't do much WITH settlements, (I'd rather be out giving bad guys nasty lead infections!) so I can't verify the mod itself, only the Author. SKK is quite trusted and respected here in the forums.

Keep in mind tho, that settlements work your computer. And the bigger the settlement is, the more it's going to. Settlers add to that, both with graphics, and scripts.

Higher end systems have a general tolerance for about 30-40 settlers. Without too much adverse affect. That, naturally drops, as your computer's specs get lower. RAM, CPU(s) Graphics Cards, Motherboard Bus speeds, etc etc.

I hope that this is some help
