GRA shop in New Vegas

I have just started a new game in FNV after not playing for some time because I noticed that the nvse was updated and many of the stabilization mods were also updated. I had hoped that because of this the reason I stopped playing would have gone away. Although the game is running smoother than it ever has for me the reason I quit playing it was still there.

Which brings us to the reason for this post and why I stopped playing the game. Simply put I am unable to use the GRA shop in New Vegas because there is a hostile robot inside it. This time it was a Protectron, other times it could be another type of hostile robot. The clerk protectron will not wait on me as long as this hostile robot is in there and there is no way to kill the hostile robot.

This time my game was running so well I just said to hell with it and used additem to acquire the weapons and ammo that I would have otherwise purchased from the GRA shop.

I posted a question about this when the problem first happened some time ago but nobody seemed to have any idea why it is happening. It is probably mod related but I could not think of any new mods I had added to that play through that could be causing the problem. Starting a new game and gradually adding mods is a no go for me as I would have to travel to New Vegas from Goodsprings each time and I just do not have the patience for doing that who knows how many times.

If anyone has any suggestions as to how I could find the cause of this I would be grateful.

I also have the regular mod tools, NVTF, etc but I doubt they would affect this.

Sorry for the late reply, I can't see anything obvious there. What I would do is put my load order into FNVEdit, expand the FalloutNV.esm entry, then expand "Creatures" and highlight "GunRunnerProtectron" under EditorID. On the right hand panel you will see every mod that makes changes to that Protectron and what changes they make, one of those mods is likely the culprit.

I did as you suggested and found three mods,IWS-Core.esm, MoMod.esm, and Cyberware.esm listed. I tend to think Cyberware is the culprit as the other two I have been playing with for years, long before this bug happened. Cyberware is a recent edition to my mod load.

The reason I just think that and cannot say with certainty is that before playing without that mod I went back to the GRA shop just to check and that hostile Protectron was not there. Go figure!

What I believe I will do is start a new profile with that mod uninstalled and just play until I get to the GRA shop.

I appreciate your help as winnowing the possible culprit down to those three mods made it possible for me to eliminate the one mod. Trying the method of installing a few mods at a time and then playing to the bug was just not a realistic option for me.

I've used the other two and I've not had the problem so I would guess it is Cyberware. I'd be a little wary of Increased Wasteland Spawns, it uses the PlaceAtMe function which can cause save bloat, anything placed in game using that command is stored in the player save rather than the game itself.
