I found a tool that helps categorize mods in MO2 and i was able to get a bunch of .esp's labeled as esl's but for some reason I got the same issue. When looking at my loot order i can see what was previously 222 .esp's is now 173 esp's soo I really don't know what the problem is cause I'm definitely not at the max.

This is the tool i used for all the folks who need it.

Sorry, I did not see anyone posting about this, or I missed it, but if you install a crash logger, it may tell you what files or mods are responsible for the crashing,

For Skyrim SE:

For Skyrim SE/AE:

from your first file, in the first section of text below the header, there's a "probable..." section.

Aside from skyrim info, there are three mods named. At a guess, I'd be inclined to check them for contentions or needed patches.

[ 7] 0x7FFE16EA895A              SkyrimSoulsRE.dll+003895A

[ 8] 0x7FFE16927F6A    TrueDirectionalMovement.dll+0037F6A
[ 9] 0x02051AE2FCE3 BetterThirdPersonSelection.dll+005FCE3

PS> it'd be nice if you put long wall-of-text stuff like those log outputs into spoiler tags, so a reader isn't forced to scroll endlessly to respond

1) click the green and white striped icon above the "underscore" button in the editor.

2) choose "Spoiler" from the dropdown menu

3) paste your text into the provided text area

Damn.. thanks for the tip. I was wondering how people where doing that.

I don't see how those mods would be responsible tho seeing as they're all updated, plus I have been using True Directional Movement without issues long before the CTD's started occurring . The only thing I could think that would be effectingTDM is the Attack Behavior Revamp mod I added since it comes with a bunch of stances,  but I'm pretty sure its compatible. But then again I'm also using Sekiro combat which I'm not so sure about sooo Idk.

If you are having problem to solve the issue, consider downgrading to Skyrim SE 1.5 and use the more detailed crash logger .Net Script Framework. Maybe this log would help to identify the cause of the crash.

Downgrading is easy and goes fast.

Just use this Downgrade Patcher with the version Best of Both.

Then update all your dlls to the SE version. All dlls need to be updated, and  they are found in the SKSE plugins folder and dllplugins folder.

Good luck!

Yeah I kinda don't want to downgrade if it's not absolutely necessary. Especially if it won't help me fix my AE version setup. I guess doing so temporarily IF it will help diagnose the problem for AE could potentially be helpful but my gut tells me if I'm diagnosing issues for an SE dll setup that if I fix it I'll have to commit to the old script. So it sounds like more trouble than it's worth logically speaking seeing as the older scripts are only gonna become more unsupported as time goes on. There has to be a better way

Wondering if issue has been fixed? I am having the same issue. ( Game loads to main menu fine. Once I go to load save or make new game instant crash to desktop. ) Mine started doing this after last AE update. At the time I was frustrated so just played something else, hoping some updates would come out that may fix issue. That has not happened so starting to look into issue now and saw this post. My game is heavily modded using SKSE at latest version. I know it started after last update because I was playing fine the day before update then issue happened. Yes, I could roll back update but would rather not. Will keep an eye on post for anything thing I notice we have the same in mods. So far I do not have those DLL's talked about in post above so wouldn't think those are issue. I am wondering if it is a bad mod update. Notice when AE first released I had ctd issue with one of beyond Bruma patches, resolved issue by removing patch. Played for a bit then AE updated again and the problem here started for me. Like I said got frustrated and took a break. Have not went into a detail mod testing yet to find issue.
