I was pretty disappointed by the effects of Auriels bow. The sun doesn't stay blotted out. I would like someone to create a mod to resolve this issue.

 

- Blotting out the sun is now permanent! Use Auriels bow and the appropriate arrows to toggle the effect off or on

- Two new graphical styles for the blotted out sun. Blood Sun (without rays), and Black Sun (with and without black rays).

- MCM Configurable

- The world is alerted to the Vampire threat. The ranks of the Dawnguard swell. (in game terms, more Dawnguard NPC's will exist in and around their fort, and they will all be pretty badass).

- The player will be pursued by groups of elite Dawnguard vampire hunters. (This will be separate from the hunters spawned by Better Vampires mod, but if you have Better Vampires installed you can force those spawns to be elite as well). These spawns might include fully armored battle trolls, as well as mercenaries.

- If you don't keep Auriel's bow on your person, it will probably get stolen, given to the Dawnguard, and the sun restored to normal. The only way to prevent this is if you have completed the thieves guild quest line.

- The dark brotherhood have been contracted to kill you. (Elite spawns, not normal ones). The only way to prevent this is if you have completed the dark brotherhood quest line.

- While the sun is blotted out, groups of elite vampires will sometimes attack towns. If you are a vampire, they will not attack you unless you attack back. If you are not a vampire, they will attack you.

- Serana will be unhappy while adventuring with you. She will make remarks about how she doesn't know if blotting out the sun was the right thing to do.

- Valerica will give you sanctuary within the castle out of respect for what you did for her family, but can't guarantee your safety from other vampires that share her beliefs while you adventure in the world. (Sometimes, a group of vampires will attack you, even if you are a vampire. These vampires believe that it was mistake to blot out the sun. They are attempting to retake the bow from you and restore the sun to normal to stop the aggression against all vampires. )
