Removing Dependencies

A mod I've been working on on and off for a few years relies on:

Skyrim.esm

Update.esm

Dawnguard.esm

Hearthfires.esm

Dragonborn.esm

Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp

Mine and Cut Gems.esp

I'm playing Legendary Edition and have all three DLCs and the separate Unofficial Patches for each DLC.

I've not updated most of my downloaded mods since about 2015, but I am doing so now as I wanted to use the single Unofficial Patch USLEEP rather than the individual patches, and several mods I use have an All-in-One package for SLE, rather than separates for each DLC.

So I want to remove the dependencies for USKP and Mine and Cut Gems from my mod.

Is there a guide available for this? I have TES5Edit as well as the Construction Kit.

My Mod makes only minor use of USKP and Mine and Cut Gems.

Cheers!

:)

Hi Shady,

There used to be a sticky post on the USLEEP page but looks like it's gone, but I found these instructions in the USLEEP thread on AFKMods. One or the other method should work for you.

If you have Wrye Bash installed:

- Select the file in the mods tab.
- In the box to the right that lists masters, select the USKP esp file.
- Use the "Change to" option.
- Select the USLEEP esp file.
- You can do the same for all the DLC patches (this will be cleaned up in the next steps)
- Make sure to hit save so the change takes effect.
- Now load the mod in TES5Edit.
- Use the Clean Masters function to remove the extra USLEEP entries.
- Use the Check for Errors function and manually fix any conflicts.

If you don't have Wrye Bash, or Bash won't cooperate, you can use TES5Edit instead:

- Open TES5Edit, select the file you want to change.
- Expand the file tree, go to the "Header" section.
- Find the "Master File" entry for Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp.
- Right click, edit it, change that to: Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp
- You can do the same for all the DLC patches (this will be cleaned up in the next steps)
- Use the Clean Masters function to remove the extra USLEEP entries.
- Use the Check for Errors function and manually fix any conflicts.

At this point you can also remove the dependancy on your other gems mod.

- Close TES5Edit and save when prompted to.

If this worked, the game should load those files like normal.

Excellent, thank you so much for that!

I had forgotten that Arthmoor's Mods are no longer available on Nexus, so AFK is the place to go now.

Cheers!

:D
