Hammerhead Durability

Would it be possible to make a mod that increases the Hammerhead's health pool, durability, or something like that (I'm not a modder, so I have no idea if this is possible)? It was always frustrating how the Hammerhead would explode after being hit with just a few seconds of small arms fire, and it slows down the pace of combat to a crawl when you're constantly having to break line of sight with the enemy and wait for the thing to stop burning. It was even worse when Bioware acknowledged the problem but did nothing to fix it (sorry Bioware, but making fun of the Hammerhead in ME3 doesn't fix the problem).
